What are you doing now? I am married since August 1, 1986 and have four children - Craig (born 1987), Mason (born 1989), Mariah (born 1995), and Makaela (born 2000). I am currently the Chief Technical Officer / VP, Technology Services for The Mosaic Company in Renton, Washington. We are a learning consulting company where I head the software development team.

I believe the most important thing I did during my military career was the work I participated in for Joint Task Force - Full Accounting. Our mission was to research and recover those who were still considered either Prisoners of War or Missing In Action (POW/MIA) from the Vietnam War. I spent 1 1/2 years in the jungles of Vietnam interviewing war era eye witnesses and military members who fought for North Vietnam, South Vietnam, and the Viet Cong. I also participated in 15 remains recovery operations.
I consider it one of the highest honors, besides defending our freedom, to be able to say that I helped the families of many MIA service members to have closure to this still painful time in their histories. We owe the civilian and service men and women who went to Vietnam between 1960 and 1975 a debt of gratitude that many today, or then for that matter, don't fully comprehend.

I wish to pay a special tribute to two friends and fellow service members that I served with at multiple duty stations who lost their lives in Vietnam 26 years after the fall of Saigon.
On April 7, 2001 a Russian made MI-17 helicopter was making a routine trip to prepare for a Joint Field Activity in Quang Binh province, 250 miles south of Hanoi, when the helicopter crashed, killing everyone on board. Two of the people killed were Air Force Technical Sergeant Robert M. Flynn (Marty) and Air Force Master Sergeant Steven L. Moser. These men and six other US military members gave their lives in pursuit of the ideal "You Are Not Forgotten". Marty and Steve, I salute you and miss you both. God be with those you left behind.
