Absent Friends

Remember those not here today,
And those unwell or far away,
And those who never lived to see,
the end of war and Victory,
And every friend who've lost our way,
Remembered of as of yesterday,
It's absent friends we miss the most,
To ALL, let's drink a loving toast.

Jolene Stout (Alexander)

Birth Date: 1968-08-18
Deceased Date: 2022-02-13
Obituary:
Jolene Yvette Alexander (Stout) was born in Fresno, California on August 18, 1968, to her parents Joel & Brenda Alexander and recently resided in Inola, Ok. She went to be with Lord on Sunday, February 13th, 2022.
She had lived in Eufaula throughout her wonderful childhood until she and her family moved to Tulsa in 1983. She attended Eufaula Public Schools and graduated from Nathan Hale High School – Tulsa in 1986. She also attended Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri for 2 years before coming back home in 1988 and began working in her IT profession for many years.
Jolene married Sam Stout from Inola and they had two children. She had a very fulfilled life and is survived by her mother, Brenda Alexander-Logan and husband Leon of Eufaula, OK. Her husband, Darrell Brown of Inola, OK. Her step-daughters Taylor Ellis and Kasey Brown of Eufaula, OK. Her mother-in-law Dorothy Lewis and brother-in-law Cody Reeves of Texas. Her two children and their spouses. Jade, Shelby and “baby on the way” Stout from Inola, OK. Matthew and Montanna Trolinger of Chelsea, OK. Two sisters and a brother- in- law, Sonja & Keven Purdon of Inola, OK., and Valerie Hecht of Catoosa, OK. She had 5 nephews, and 2 nieces: Tristun & Sasha Alexander of Claremore, OK, Aubrey Alexander, Dakoda Pierce, Daltun Pierce and Tanner Pierce of Owasso, OK., Jensen Hecht and Lunden Hecht of Catoosa, OK. She was also a Great Aunt of Blaine, Brayden and Breece Alexander. She was blessed with so many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jolene loved spending time with her family, being at the lake and fishing. When she would visit Eufaula, she loved playing games with her aunt and cousins, Ivonne, Denise and Dennis. She always had such a good sense of humor, was a loving mother and sister and had the most beautiful smile. She loved OU football and we always got together for so many OU games. We will cherish so many great times together. She lived and breathed happiness for her children. Always. I know she was greeted by her daddy along with so many special cousins and aunts all smiling and telling her “Welcome home”.

From her sister’s childhood story -
When we were 5 and 3, Jolene and Sonja tricked neighbors into thinking she had a twin sister, not Val, but Molene. She would run in the house, and we would change her clothes and she would come back outside as her twin sister, Molene. After they kept asking where’s Jolene and 5 or 6 trips to the changing room, lol,..we said Molene left out the back. Hahaha! We also laughed about that a lot. We have so many stories, but not enough time to write them all down. A lifetime of memories we will always cherish.
Words cannot describe the loss we feel here, but we can’t be saddened because we know she is in the arms of our heavenly father.
We will miss you and see you soon our precious angel. We all love you so much!

Neil Cosgrave

Birth Date: 1967-04-27
Deceased Date: 2009-02-08
Obituary:
COSGRAVE - Neil Philip, 41, of Tulsa departed this "vale of tears" on Sunday, 8 February, 2009. Neil was born on 27 April, 1967, in Dublin, Ireland, the youngest son of Mary and Neil Cosgrave. He is survived by: his devoted wife, Amy Carrico and his precious son, Connor David, 6, as well as by his loving mother, Mary and his brother, Donal. He was preceded in death by his father and by his brothers, Lorcan and David. He is also survived by David's 3 children, Lynne, Claire, and Lorcan of Ireland. In Tulsa, he is survived by: his wife's parents, Dr. Bruce and Judy Carrico, both of whom were infinitely caring in helping Neil through a litany of difficulties during his last years. Neil attended St. Pius X Catholic School, Cascia Hall and Oklahoma State University. Despite his size, Neil was a Gentle Giant and although his presence could be intimidating to someone not knowing him, he was truly compassionate and caring to all of his friends and family. He loved Notre Dame football. He was an avid reader of newspapers, sometimes reading 2 or 3 each day. He loved Ireland, but also loved the comforts of life in America. Perhaps most of all Neil was totally devoted to his mother, Mary and his son, Connor, and to all the members of his family but especially his deceased brothers Lorcan and David and his father Neil. He never recovered from the death of Lorcan in 1987 and this was the cause, along with the other deaths, of many crises in his later life. We all loved Neil dearly. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, 12 February, at 7p.m., in the chapel of St. Pius X Catholic Church, followed on Friday, 13 February, at 10 a.m., by a Mass of Christian Burial, Neil will be laid to rest along side his father and 2 brothers on Tuesday, 17 February, 2009, in the cemetery of St. James Catholic Church, Ramsgrange, Co. Wexford, Ireland, following a noon Mass of the Resurrection. Neil Philip Cosgrave
